In 2020 I had the pleasure of taking part for the first time in the coolest street art contest in Madrid. This year Pinta Malasaña had to move its edition indoors to the Mercado de los Mostenses, and Missmsmith’s intervention was painted on the interior wall next to the goods lift, right as you enter the building from the central courtyard.
‘Map of Imbalances’ is made up of sonobe origami pieces climbing up the wall between blocks of acrylic colour. The composition represents the highs and lows of a creative career in today’s society.
You can visit it whenever you like since, in principle, it will stay on the market walls for a long time!
