Paper butterflies at Palacio de Neptuno | Large-scale aerial installation
Last October, the skies of Palacio de Neptuno filled with hundreds of paper monarch butterflies that seemed to take flight, suspended in the air.
A project developed with Ingenio 3 in which we created a large-scale art installation where paper becomes movement and living matter.
The intervention included an aerial set design with butterflies of different sizes, made with various paper weights and internal wire structures, creating a feeling of lightness and expansion throughout the space.
A large sculptural gateway marked the start of the scene, from which the butterflies seemed to take off, flooding the venue and turning the architecture into a dreamlike landscape.
