A giant paper bird taking over the space
With crepe paper feathers and a colour palette inspired by the kingfisher, we developed a paper bird sculpture for Makro‘s new offices in Madrid.
The piece was built from multiple layers of crepe paper worked in different shades and finishes, with spray work by our colleague Iris to add depth and tonal variation.
Each element of the bird was mounted on an internal wire and cardboard structure, specially designed to support the volume and ensure the piece’s stability while suspended.
The result is a large-format giant paper bird sculpture soaring through the space, combining visual lightness with structural complexity.
