After creating the new course «Make your own paper lamp» with the Vogue Shots platform from Condé Nast, nothing made more sense than launching a box with all the materials you need to create your own lamp. “But did you also take care of the electrical part?”, you may ask. No: for that we preferred to trust an expert, and we created our kit in collaboration with Lucía Ciller of Luzmixtura lighting, who seeks the balance between the artistic and the technical.
Luzmixtura designs lighting for spaces as well as those objects we usually call “lamps” but which she calls light sculptures. Because craft knowledge and techniques in Spain are disappearing with the last few generations of artisans, Luzmixtura works with a network of local craftspeople who bring the added value that makes each lamp a unique, one-of-a-kind piece.
