For the first time, Missmsmith was selected to take part in the CALLE Lavapiés street art festival, and it was a wonderful experience. Our installation was at Sra. Wood’s shop and, following her brief for a creative concept centred on women and incorporating shades of purple, it was named «Forest of Nymphs».
In paper, with hundreds of leaves hanging in front of the shop window, women’s faces of different ethnicities alternated to honour the neighbourhood’s multiculturalism. Combined with geometric motifs running down the wall, the work has been installed since July and still hangs on the walls of the shop belonging to Marta, my namesake and a furniture restorer, on Calle Mira el Sol.
